Mia in Yosemite

This is a picture of Mia during a hike she took while visiting Yosemite National Park a few years ago. Mia had a tremendous love for the outdoors, and was an avid hiker.

Sutphin Family

This is a picture of our family. Mia was the fifth of Cal and Sandy Sutphin's seven children. Left to right, front to back: Kamala, Cal Sr., Sandy, Cal Jr., Mia, Sally, Briley, Alison, Carrie, Julie, John, Samuel, and Michael.

Nyumbani

This beautiful little girl is an orphan that Mia cared for during her time at Nyumbani. Mia actually took this picture after she helped to paint this little girl's face for her birthday

Bihar

Mia spent eight months during 1999 volunteering at a medical clinic in Bihar, India. Mia loved her time there, which was spent caring for people suffering from many illnesses, as well as teaching classes to young, aspiring nurses.

Mia In India

Mia became very close with an Indian family during her mission in Bihar, which she is pictured with here. She continued to keep in touch with the family during the months, and years after leaving India.
